Miracle on 19th St. Christmas dinner to the City’s Hungry and Homeless

June 13, 2016

Miracle on 19th Street
In 2010, we celebrated our 15th year at the Denver Chophouse serving a Christmas dinner to the city’s hungry and homeless. This event is known locally as the Miracle on 19th Street. Together with twelve local shelter partners and the generous financial and volunteer support of community members, we welcomed over 2,500 homeless and displaced individuals to the Denver ChopHouse on Christmas Day. All guests receive a delicious holiday meal, new fleece jacket and have the opportunity to take a souvenir photo with Santa home from the event.
The Growth of Holiday Miracles

The Miracles began on Christmas Day in 1996, when the Denver ChopHouse & Brewery, driven to brighten the day for the area’s hungry and homeless population, served a traditional Christmas Day meal to 250 guests.
What began as a small gesture of kindness has spread across the United States. This holiday season, more than 6,100 children and their families in Boise, Boulder, Georgia Springs, Denver, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and Portland received an outpouring of goodwill through our Miracle events.

Bryan Evans with JAMMIN’ Djs will be providing the music for the volunteers and the less fortunate that the foundation will be shipping in from all over the state on Christmas day 2011. As a former employee of the Rock Bottom Corporation Bryan was involved in the Miracle for a number of years and thought that the marriage between JAMMIN’ DJs and the Foundation would be one that would last. Bryan will happily volunteer my time on Christmas Day for the sake of bringing some joy to Georgia’s less fortunate in these rather trying times. The Miracle on 19th St has been providing winter clothing and hot meals in Denver for the past 16 years on Christmas Day and they are ALWAYS looking for volunteers!
